About EASE 1
Simply step in and go. Designed by the extremely talented Sandel Concepcion of Lemni Loop, the EASE 1 is the first purpose built easy-on sneaker manufactured with Zellerfeld. The EASE 1 features a semi-collapsible heel for very easy entry - something that Ease Footwear takes great pride in. It was designed around Zellerfeld's Barefoot shoe last; this last has a 0 millimeter heel-to-toe drop and minimal underfoot cushioning, promoting foot health. The herringbone outsole provides good traction in all directions. And the ZellerFoam material is soft and comfortable enough for all-day wear, while still remaining stable and surprisingly durable.
About the Creator
Easy-on 3D printed footwear. I was born with Cerebral Palsy, a physical disability, and I have been reviewing footwear since 2020. I have seen that Accessibility and Ease of Entry are often overlooked in footwear design. My studio pushes both of those elements to the forefront. All of Ease Footwear's shoes are designed to be as easy to get on as possible. My logo’s Dara Knot is a Celtic symbol for both inner strength and resilience; two characteristics that I feel people with disabilities often have in abundance. Both colors in the logo are taken from Disability Pride flags: the pale red, taken from Ann Magill’s 2016 flag, represents those with physical disabilities, and the gold, taken from Eros Recio’s 2017 flag, symbolizes the accomplishments of people with disabilities.
